"Design is for everyone." The world-famous designer Karim Rashid and the founders of the economy design hotels Prize by Radisson pursue this approach in equal measure. The result is an unmistakable design concept - hotel guests do not have to compromise on lifestyle and comfort in economy hotels.

The vision of the hotel founders was to combine design and functionality and create a distinctive hotel experience that is affordable for everyone. The result is an unmistakable design with surfaces made of solid surface material in bold colors.

Design

 

The internationally successful designer gives each Prize by Radisson hotel its own colorful character through the use of different color schemes and geometries. In Karim's designs, unusual shapes and bright colors do not stop at the hotel bathrooms and breakfast area. Bright yellow vanities or ice-blue table tops with pink decorative stripes are not uncommon.

Implementation

 

On behalf of the general contractor Plan-Team-Lohoff, Hasenkopf processed the acrylic-bonded solid surface materials Corian® and HIMACS for a wide range of applications. The material makes the most of its product advantages: In addition to the extensive selection of around 100 colors each, solid surface materials score points with a hard-wearing, non-porous surface, making them the ideal choice for areas with high visitor frequency. Even after years of use, the homogeneously colored material can be reconditioned as good as new simply by sanding.
