What is solid surface material?

 

Solid surface material is a versatile composite material made from around 75% natural minerals, acrylic mass and color pigments. The result is a homogeneous, non-porous surface that is durable, hygienic and easy to clean. The material can be mechanically processed and thermoformed - ideal for individual, seamless designs.

Areas of application for solid surface material

 

The possible applications for solid surface material are almost limitless: In kitchens, solid surface material is convincing as a seamless worktop or kitchen sink, in bathrooms as an elegant washbasin, shower or bathtub. In furniture and interior design, it can be used to create counters, wall cladding or custom-made furniture.

Tips & tricks for the care of solid surface material

Care instructions for daily cleaning and removal of normal household stains, such as vinegar, coffee / tea, grease / oil residues, limescale / soap deposits. Do not use scouring milk on wood or other materials. Fittings, furniture fronts etc. can be damaged by the scouring milk.

1. Moisten a soft cloth.
Important: do not use a scouring pad!

2. Apply mild scouring milk to the cloth. Make sure that the cleaner is suitable for acrylic surfaces.

3. Apply to the surface to be cleaned using even, circular movements.

4. Rinse the cloth well with clear water.

5. Wipe off the cleaning agent several times with warm water.

Solid surface material can be processed seamlessly, is hygienic, durable and extremely versatile. It combines the robustness of stone powder with the suppleness of acrylic - enabling individual shapes, colors and surfaces.

What advantages does solid surface material offer compared to natural stone, ceramic or wood?

 

In contrast to natural stone or ceramic, solid surface material is non-porous and therefore particularly hygienic. Scratches or damage can usually be repaired without any problems. Compared to wood, it is insensitive to moisture and therefore ideal for bathrooms, kitchens and the healthcare sector.

In which areas is solid surface material used?
