Projekt 5

Stuttgart

The draft for this design innovation comes from id-identity, where one philosophy is particularly pronounced: "Nothing is as strong as an idea whose time has come." The architects have introduced the unique concept to the room. Unusual and elaborate interior design and sculptural-looking furniture have an integrative and almost playful effect, skilfully concealing what is only possible through detailed planning and precision craftsmanship.

Even before the tender, Hasenkopf was asked for a project assessment as an expert in the field of Corian’s thermal formability. Architect Steffen Haas also asked Hasenkopf for help with the design concept. The client was convinced by the concept and complete offer for the expansive architectural elements made of the solid surface material. The close coordination in terms of feasibility and budget security was an additional positive factor.

Design

The design concept includes special features such as the milling on the front of the bar counter, a technology developed by Hasenkopf called Frescata. The respective textures are worked into the selected material with great attention to detail using state-of-the-art 3- and 5-axis CNC milling machines. The necessary pattern milling was developed according to the architect's specifications. The premium material Corian in the colour Cameo White was chosen for the two counters.

Implementation

The refrigerated display case has a 3D-moulded safety glass including substructure and fittings. A dumbwaiter was also clad with thermoformed Corian. The bar area of the .5. and all the designs created by Hasenkopf Industrie-Manufaktur are unique pieces that .5. owner Michael Zeyer presents to his guests as part of the extraordinary gastronomic experience.
