1964
It all began in an old school
In October 1964, Dipl.-Ing. Didymus Hasenkopf founded the Hasenkopf company - starting with just two employees, 2,400 Deutsche Marks (DM) in equity and a grand vision: craftsmanship at the highest level.
The first years were characterized by drawers made of wood, manufactured in the rooms of a former elementary school in Mehring near Burghausen.
The first specializations followed just a few years later: plastic drawers for carpenters and wholesalers. Soon Hasenkopf was supplying several thousand woodworking companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

From 1980
New materials, new possibilities
A new era began in the 1980s: Hasenkopf added Corian® to its portfolio - an innovative solid surface material that opened up completely new design and processing possibilities.
In 1988 , Roland Hasenkopf joined the management team after completing his training as a graduate engineer in wood technology and industrial engineering. He introduced fresh momentum, combining traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technology and initiating the next phase of growth.
During the 1990s, new production facilities were established in Mehring, featuring showroom areas and cutting-edge machinery. Hasenkopf consistently expanded its leading position in the fabrication of drawers and solid surface materials.

Early 2000s
From workshop to industrial manufactory
In 2001, company founder Didymus Hasenkopf handed over responsibility to his son Roland.
In the years that followed, significant investments were made: new production halls, modern CNC technologies and a clear repositioning as an industrial manufactory.
2013 marked another major milestone: the construction of a new company building with state-of-the-art offices and spacious production halls - sending a clear and visible signal for the future.

Shaping the future through innovation
The management team was realigned in 2019.
In 2021, Hasenkopf completed a rebranding with a new logo and the claim Simply Special.
In 2024, Hasenkopf celebrated 60 years of company history - marking six decades of craftsmanship, innovation and continuous development.
Today
Standing still is not an option for us. Our future belongs to new ideas, products and innovations. With our eyes on the future and our roots in craftsmanship, we continue to develop - turning every vision into a unique project.
