As part of the international modernization of its stations, Sixt makes a clear design statement at Munich Airport: a more than 20-meter-long, brightly orange counter serves as the central brand element within the highly frequented car rental center. The architecture of the modernized stations makes SIXT visible and tangible as a brand. It provides orientation, builds trust, enhances recognition, and shapes the first impression.

The seamless surface made of HIMACS solid surface material underlines the brand's premium claim and at the same time meets the highest standards of hygiene and durability. The precise geometries and consistent implementation of the design concept create a monolithic object that is both functional and architecturally impressive.

Design

 

 

The counter design follows a clear, brand-driven language defined by flowing lines and a strong visual presence. The distinctive orange color reflects Sixt’s corporate identity and ensures high visibility within the space.

 

The cladding was constructed from precisely manufactured HIMACS elements, seamlessly joined to form a continuous, circular geometry with a depth of around 30 cm. The material’s thermoplastic properties enabled the precise execution of complex radii and smooth transitions. An integrated lighting concept further enhances the sculptural quality and highlights the contours.

Implementation

 

 

 The design of the counter is based on a clear, brand-driven formal language characterized by flowing lines and a strong visual presence. The intense orange color reflects Sixt’s corporate identity and ensures the counter is clearly recognizable even from a distance. 

 

The counter cladding consists of several precisely manufactured HIMACS elements that seamlessly form a circular overall geometry with a depth of approximately 30 cm. The thermoplastic properties of the material allow for the precise realization of complex radii and smooth transitions. The lighting concept, with strategically placed light sources, enhances the overall design and emphasizes the contours of the counter.
